Political Career
[edit]Parliamentary Activities and Views
[edit]Zečević has emphasized the Democratic Front's role in preserving the ruling parliamentary majority and maintaining political stability. In an interview, he stated that "without the DF, there is neither a government, a parliamentary majority, nor a coalition."[1]
He has criticized coalition partners from Democratic Montenegro and former government leaders Zdravko Krivokapić, Aleksa Bečić, and Dritan Abazović, accusing them of lacking political legitimacy and having limited parliamentary support.[2]
Local Government
[edit]As a councilor in the Nikšić Municipal Assembly representing the Democratic Front, Zečević opposed the inclusion of a proposal to dismiss Mayor Marko Kovačević from the assembly’s agenda. He argued that the local parliament should focus on more significant and urgent matters.[3]
Electoral Reform
[edit]Zečević has also been involved in electoral reform efforts. As a member of the Citizens' Council for Free and Fair Elections, established in collaboration with the NGO CeMI, he advocated for greater public involvement in the electoral process and supported legislative changes aimed at improving transparency and fairness.[4]

Controversies and Public Commentary
[edit]Zečević has publicly criticized certain media outlets, particularly TV Vijesti, and various political figures, accusing them of selectively influencing public opinion and judicial proceedings against the Democratic Front. He alleged that media tycoons and judicial actors were working to politically eliminate DF leaders.[1]
Conflict of Interest and Earnings
[edit]Zečević simultaneously held positions as a Member of Parliament and as the executive director of a public enterprise, which sparked public debate regarding a potential conflict of interest. He stated that he would step down from one of the roles once institutional conditions allowed for it.[2]
According to available data, he received a salary of €1,431 as a parliamentarian and approximately €1,989 as a director, amounting to a total monthly income of between €3,500 and €3,600.[3]
