I think perhaps people need to learn to chill a bit and remember we're all here for one purpose, writing an encyclopaedia. People can contribute to this in multiple ways, be it maintenance based like AFD, vandal fighting, content addition or a mixture of things. What doesn’t help us build an encyclopaedia is in-fighting, bickering over trivial issues or using Wikipedia as an on-line battleground. This has the opposite effect, it simply pushes good contributors out and encourages drama, which does nothing to aid our ultimate goal; it makes us MySpace.

Atacamite is a copper halide mineral: a copper(II) chloride hydroxide with the chemical formula Cu₂Cl(OH)₃. It was first described in 1802 by Dmitri Alekseyevich Golitsyn from deposits in Chile's Atacama Desert, after which it is named. Atacamite is a comparatively rare mineral, formed from primary copper minerals in the oxidation or weathering zone of arid climates. It has also been reported as a volcanic sublimate from fumarole deposits, as sulfide alteration products in black smokers. This photograph shows a specimen of atacamite, on a malachite matrix, from the Mount Gunson Mines in South Australia.
