Wikipedia's definition of North America includes more than just the three countries of the US, Canada and Mexico, plus there's Template:Americas topic for the full Americas. Oppose. See North America#Countries, dependencies, and other territories. All the areas currently listed on the template are commonly viewed as part of the continent of North America. This continent also includes Greenland, the Caribbean, and Central America. The "Americas" generally refers to both North and South America. Query on when some links are disambiguated, and some are not

Having just realised this is a non-standard template syntax after trying to fix it...is there a way to change this template so that its useage on topics that do not disambiguate subjects properly reflects it, when others (including the main topic) do? Example, Saba is a disambiguation page, while Saba (island) is the one referred to here. But this template's use in {{Flags of North America}} means the link to Saba's flag doesn't display right when on that page, because it's at Flag of Saba, not Flag of Saba (island). The links operate fine. But if you look at the template on Flag of Saba, you'll notice Saba in it is still a link. If you compare that to how the template looks on Flag of Sint Eustatius, note that the link for Sint Eustatius is not there, and instead is bolded text, as it should be for a link in a navbox when you're on its page per WP:BYPASSREDIRECT. - The Bushranger _{One ping only} 05:24, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I see what you are reporting. Thanks for the details. Moving Flag of Saba to Flag of Saba (island) to match the parent article (and disambiguate from a possible but unlikely Flag of Saba, Iran or Flag of Sabá) would probably resolve the issue. – Jonesey95 (talk) 13:21, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
