Don't "fix" links to redirects
[edit]WP:NOTBROKEN is quite clear: There is no need to "fix" a link to a redirect that is not broken. Powers T 13:26, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Removal of "Others" section
[edit]I propose to remove the "Others" section, since relation to the franchise and to each other is incidental and trivial, especially when the link redirects to a character's page that covers media outside Disney (like Jane, Esmeralda or Maid Marian). Being a female in a Disney film does not equal association to the franchise. If it is the case, then we need to add much more characters, such as Lady, Faline, Miss Bianca/Penny, Perdita/Anita, Lilo/Nani Pelekai, the Sprite from Fantasia 2000, etc. Thoughts? --LoЯd ۞pεth 03:41, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, although one could make an argument for keeping Kida and Eilonwy as they are princesses but not Princesses. Powers T 20:52, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- We can add Kida and Eilonwy into "Associated" and remove the rest. Maid Marian, Esmeralda, and Jane have little or nothing to do with each another and with the franchise. --LoЯd ۞pεth 04:25, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- I completely agree on those three. Powers T 19:01, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- Also, Pixar has its own list of female characters: Jessie, Boo, Princess Atta, Celia Mae, Sally Carrera, EVE, Collette Tatou, Bo Peep, Ellie, Helen Parr, Dory, Dot, Violet Parr and Princess Merida. We can create the "Disney-Pixar" section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.1.169.238 (talk • contribs)
- And we can also add Sally from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas and Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? into "Associated". They're the most sensual and attractive Disney girls ever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.1.169.238 (talk) 23:59, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- No, I don't think so. What do they have to do with the Disney Princesses? Powers T 01:12, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Rapunzell
[edit]Is added http://www.disney.co.uk/princess/rapunzel/rapunzel-celebration/ --2.218.21.231 (talk) 19:09, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- That link clearly says she will be added in October. She isn't there yet. That said, it's really not an important distinction. Powers T 20:21, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Can you at least add Anna and Elsa, they are confirmed to be added to the lineup in summer of 2014. 68.99.188.247 (talk) 05:00, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
- They are not added until they are added officially. The editors have been using the franchise website as the litmus test. When Disney adds them there then we know "for sure" that they were added.--☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(talk) 14:48, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Anna and Elsa are going to be added in the summer of 2014. 68.4.40.200 (talk) 02:34, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Not done for now: Technically, Elsa was the queen and not a princess. To add her would require consensus as it would be controversial on that basis. Anna is a princess and shouldn't be an issue to add once official. — {{U|Technical 13}} (t • e • c) 02:43, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
Live action
[edit]As indicated on the official web site, the live action films are not considered part of the franchise. 128.151.71.16 (talk) 15:08, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
Theme park section?
[edit]Should there be a theme park section to this template to show the attractions based on these films (or the Disney Princess group in general)?(Oinkers42) (talk) 15:39, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Overuse
[edit]Is there really a need to include all the movies and other projects that include any Disney Princess? It seems very overkill to me.★Trekker (talk) 09:18, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
Why Disney's Alice and Megara (and the franchises they appear in) relate to the Disney Princess franchise the same way Anna and Elsa from the Frozen franchise did
[edit]About Megara
[edit]There was never evidence proving that Megara joined the franchise at some point. The consensus is more likely that she was a "princess test", like Alice, being present in some products:
- Princess Collection 2.
- Disney Princess Sing Along Songs: Once Upon a Dream.
- Disney Princess Pins from DisneyShopping.com.
About Alice
[edit]Just like Megara, Alice served as a "princess" test at the beginning of the creation of the franchise. She appeared in a variety of products, even more so than Meg, which suggests that she was one step closer to becoming an official Disney princess. Some examples of products that Alice has appeared on include:
- Disney Princess Magazines: She appeared on various magazine covers with other official princesses.
- Playmates Disney Princess: Little version from Alice, 15".
- Disney Princess Sing Along Songs: Enchanted Tea Party and Disney Princess Sing Along Songs: Perfectly Princess.
- She appears in the music video It's Not Just Make Believe.
- Disney Princess: Storybook Little Dolls: Doll accompanying book that accompanies a story about Alice, Belle, and Cinderella.
- She is one of the princesses of heart in the game Kingdom Hearts.
- Disney Princess Celebration Collection: A porcelain doll Alice is present in this collection.
- She can be seen on the cover of this Disney Princess magazine (see here).
