TeamSupport is an American software company that provides a cloud-based customer-support platform for business-to-business (B2B) technology vendors.[citation needed]

History

[edit]

The firm was founded in Dallas in 2009 by Robert C. Johnson and Eric Harrington.[1] It raised US$1.25 million in seed funding in 2014,[1] followed by a growth investment from New York–based Level Equity in 2018.[2][3]

In August 2020, the company appointed former Trackvia chief executive Pete Khanna as CEO, succeeding co-founder Johnson.[4] TeamSupport acquired live-chat provider SnapEngage in May 2021 to add real-time messaging and chatbot automation to its suite.[5][6]

Grant Stanis became chief executive in 2024, coinciding with the launch of “AI Assist,” a generative-AI feature for ticket responses.[7]

Products

[edit]

TeamSupport offers ticket management, a shared customer database, SLA tracking, and self-service portals. After the SnapEngage acquisition the platform added native live chat and chatbot workflows. Additional modules—TeamSuccess for customer success and TeamInsights for analytics—provide customer-health scoring and reporting.[1]

Reception

[edit]

A December 2020 review by PCMag praised TeamSupport’s “strong collaboration tools” and deep ticket-tracking features, while noting that the interface appeared dated compared with newer competitors.[8]

Recognition

[edit]
  • Gold winner, Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service (Collaborative Solution – New Version), 2014.[9]
