Timeline of the Gaza war → List of timelines of the Gaza war – This page is not one timeline, rather a list of links to different timelines within the Gaza war. - Oppose, all timelines are structured like that. See Timeline of the Russian invasion of Ukraine for just one example. 🐔 Chicdat Bawk to me! 11:35, 10 February 2025 (UTC)

A link to the gaza-israel conflict --> [1] should be included for context on the current war; in the beginning of the article. It should be included after "The Gaza war began on 7 October 2023 when Hamas launched coordinated armed incursions on Israel from the Gaza Strip.[1]" The new publication should look like this;
"The Gaza war began on 7 October 2023 when Hamas launched coordinated armed incursions on Israel from the Gaza Strip.[1] It is important to note that the Gaza-Israel Conflict[2] precedes the 2023 attacks. *As of 8 April 2025, over 52,000 people – 50,810 Palestinian and 1,706 Israeli – have been reported killed in the Gaza war, but this is not a conclusive list.
- Cited from the Casualties of the Gaza war, here --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Gaza_war#:~:text=The%20first%20187%20pages%20of,Palestinians%20who%20had%20been%20killed.
These changes are to be made to provide more context to the war, for the average viewer of the page; as well as the main statistics of casualties. Grubbin (talk) 14:41, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Grubbin! Thank you for your comments. I agree with you that it is good to give some more context.
- But, first of all, I have always understood that we should try to avoid "It is important to note that" - because it is up to our readers to decide what is important and what is not. So I did not copy that part.
- Second, I tried to copy the sources from Casualties of the Gaza war because we can not use our own articles as sources for what we write. This went well for the Palestinian numbers, but not at all for the Israel numbers. This was such a complicated construction that I did not know how to do it.
- So if anybody else knows how to add the sources for the Israeli numbers, please do so!
