Fignon

[edit]

Amazing that Fignon, who died in 2010 when Pogaçar would have been 12, already drew comparisons with Merkx... 2603:8000:CE00:7100:1C12:23FF:526:11BA (talk) 23:08, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

nickname

[edit]

I suggest the nickname gets changed to only "Pogi" which in my opinion also implies the shortened version "Pog" which evolved out of the Roglic years. The rest are ancillary nicknames that don't apply broadly over all media channels. Over the past few years he has become singularly "Pogi" over all networks and in nearly in all languages AND throughout the peloton. 73.187.86.160 (talk) 17:16, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The source given for nickname Pogo does not contain it once. Bouzmine (talk) 21:14, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Royal Flush" wins

[edit]

I can't find any source referring to wins with this terminology and it is in quotes here, implying that this is a term that people use. Is there a reference using this terminology? If not I suggest this be removed or reworded. 172.220.68.221 (talk) 16:21, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Career achievements as separate article?

[edit]

Should there be one for this? There are ones for cyclists like Mark Cavendish, Eddy Merckx, Peter Sagan and Alejandro Valverde among others. Pogačar surpassed century of victories early in this year's Tour and is on the road to take his fourth GC win. And he's also world champion and has won three of five monuments, so he does well in one-day races as well. BleuDXXXIV (talk) 08:36, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to be WP:BOLD and split out career achievements based on the examples you mentioned. I also saw a reference to the 100 wins threshold on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cycling, so it seems like a good time. Verylongandmemorable (talk) 21:39, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
