Regarding the proposed for deletion notice

[edit]

Thanks to User:Fram very much to point out the issue, which was indeed my dilemma while creating the disambiguation page. The naming pattern of "Oscar XXXX" was simply following the existing pattern of the precedents of Oscar 1999 to Oscar 2025 several years ago to avoid the discrepancy, then this article has been reviewed and also been registered into the Wikidata base by the system. I fully understand and respect the concern that the common American English usage is actually "Oscars XXXX" in the plural form, such as the recent news: Oscars 2025: The full list of winners, and the other 7 in the 97th Academy Awards article alone for examples, and will co-operate with the demand to move all the shortcuts with the same issue from the single form to the plural form for the better-fit usage. Since some shortcuts have been existed for years, hence might be better to correct them in consistency with each other instead of delete them all, the task will involve in dozens of moves including the previous redirection entries created by other editors. If with permission, I shall start to work on it soon, then the deletion inquiry wouldn't be needed after the concern is resolved as requested. ~Sincerely, Mickie-Mickie (talk) 17:22, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

After double-checking the target title, I realized that the plural form has been used, leading to an existing disambiguation page, so I followed its lead to redirect this link to that page as well. Please feel free to delete this shortcut page at any time as you prefer. Have a great day. ~Sincerely yours, Mickie-Mickie (talk) 18:48, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
