vandalism?

[edit]

Hello, can anyone explain to me why this edit was considered to be vandalism?

I understand that it may not exactly fit the article, as it was in a section about toothache, but I am mystified as to how it could be construed to have been done with malicious intent. 119.235.212.93 (talk) 19:06, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Now I see something. I could have checked the talk page first. It seems that an older edition of the medline page specifically mentioned effectiveness on toothaches. The current page seems only to state that clove oil's only therapeutic use with sufficent evidence to support is for people in the hospital with pneumonia. Perhaps this is worth mentioning somewhere in the article? 119.235.212.93 (talk) 19:21, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The MedlinePlus source actually says it is "possibly effective" for that purpose, i.e., "possibly" means there is no certainty and no WP:MEDASSESS source to support a change. Zefr (talk) 20:08, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
