Update?
[edit]Much of the article beyond the introduction suggests Trump is still in power. It refers to ongoing lawsuits against the sitting Trump administration etc. Added update tag for this reason. Gerritdeveer1597 (talk) 07:12, 14 March 2022 (UTC) `
- I did some updating where RS could be found. This article is about what Trump did and not about the EPA, so it could be OK. As for lawsuits, they go on for years and one seldom sees the final outcomes. Sectionworker (talk) 17:50, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Lead written like an essay
[edit]The first paragraph of this article, specifically the following section, seems to be written in an argumentative way and doesn't tell us much about Trump's actual environmental policy.
The environmental policy of the first Donald Trump administration represented a shift from the policy priorities and goals of the preceding Barack Obama administration. Where President Obama's environmental agenda prioritized the reduction of carbon emissions through the use of renewable energy with the goal of conserving the environment for future generations,[1] the Trump administration policy was for the US to attain energy independence based on fossil fuel use and to rescind many environmental regulations.[2]

- My proposed revisal is below:
- The environmental policy of the first Donald Trump administration sought to attain U.S. energy independence, protect and expand fossil fuel usage, and rescind many environmental regulations.[ref 2] This represented a significant shift from the policy priorities and goals of the preceding Barack Obama administration, which prioritized reducing carbon emissions and expanding the production of renewable energy with the goal of conserving the environment for future generations.[ref 1] KlrMakuria (talk) 00:37, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
