Chania Prefecture → Chania (peripheral unit) — At the 2011 Kallikratis local government reform, prefectures have been abolished and peripheral units have been created, covering the same territory in many cases (including these 6). Consensus on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Greece#New articles for all peripheral units is to reuse the prefecture articles as peripheral unit articles. Markussep Talk 15:29, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Thesprotia Prefecture → Thesprotia
- Elis Prefecture → Elis (peripheral unit)
- Euboea Prefecture → Euboea (peripheral unit)
- Heraklion Prefecture → Heraklion (peripheral unit)
- Rethymno Prefecture → Rethymno (peripheral unit)
