Lead length

@Chiswick Chap: Hey there, thought I'd ping you (as the main active author of the article) as I noticed its lead was very short, relative to the length of the article. Right now it's about 125 words for an almost 6,000 word article, so it's not adequately summarising the full scope and complexity of the subject, leaving a lot of information out. It's particularly striking when reading over some of the later sections, which don't appear to be covered at all by the lead. Per MOS:LEADLENGTH, it should ideally be at least twice as long as it is now. Would you be up to expand the lead a bit, so it more fully summarises the scope of the article? --Grnrchst (talk) 09:55, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Extended. Mere length is a rather poor guide to the suitability of a lead section, but I agree that coverage here was somewhat incomplete. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:55, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
