RS Lakshan Don (born November 26, 2001) is a Sri Lankan karateka and coach. He is recognized as the youngest verified coach (Kata and Kumite) by the Asian Karate Federation. He is also a School [1] “A” Grade Verified Coach in Sri Lanka.
Career
[edit]Lakshan started his karate career at a young age and achieved great success. In 2017, he won a gold medal in the South Asian Karate Championship [2] in the Kumite -55kg category.
In 2019, he became the Sri Lankan National Champion in the Kumite -55kg event at the Sri Lanka Karate-Do Federation [3] Championship held in Colombo. He won the same title again in 2020.
After his success as a competitor, Lakshan became a coach. He is now the head coach at Kenshinkai Dojo,[4] a karate club in Sri Lanka.
