Paula Comendador Prado (born in Madrid, 12 January 2007) is a Spanish footballer. She plays as a forward for Real Madrid Femenino B in the Spanish Primera Federacion.[2] She is a Spanish international with the Spain women's national under-19 football team.
Professional career
[edit]Comendador joined Madrid CFF at the age of eight. She spent six seasons at the club before becoming a part of Real Madrid Femenino in the summer of 2021, where she initially played for the U-16s and won the Madrid Championship.[3] In the 2022–23 season, she was part of the A-Juvenil squad and was able to win the title in her category again with the Merengues.[4] On 10 September 2023, she made her debut for the B team in a match against Rayo Vallecano of the Second Women's Federation.
Comendador made her debut for Real Madrid's professional squad on 26 November 2023, in a Spanish Primera División match against Sporting de Huelva, coming on as a second-half substitute for Hayley Raso.[5]
On May 25, 2025, Pau won the Torneo Juvenil Femenino for the 2nd year in a row, scoring in the final in a 1-0 win over Barcelona Juvenil and being named the tournament's MVP after scoring 5 goals in 4 matches[6]
National team
[edit]Comendador began playing with the Spanish U-17 national team on 22 September 2022, during a Euro 2023 qualifier against Belgium.[7] The Spanish team reached the final, where they lost 3–2 to France. Comendador started all five matches in the tournament and scored one goal. [citation needed]
In 2024, she played in the U-17 Women's World Cup in the Dominican Republic, where she finished runner-up, losing on penalties to North Korea.[8]
