Milena Doleželová-Velingerová (February 8, 1932 – October 20, 2012) was a renowned Czech sinologist. Having studied with Jaroslav Průšek in Prague and Wu Xiaoling 吳曉鈴 in Peking, she left Prague in 1968 after the Soviet invasion, and made her later career at the University of Toronto.[1] After retirement in 1996, she continued to publish widely.
Milena Doleželová-Velingerová received her M.A. degree from the Charles University in Prague in 1955 and her Ph.D. degree from the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in 1964.
