The Mantos Blancos is a copper mine located in northern Chile in Antofagasta Region. It lies about 45 km northeast of the port city of Antofagasta.[2] Mantos Blancos represents one of the largest copper reserves in Chile and in the world having estimated reserves of 500 million tonnes of ore grading 1% copper.[3]
The mine is owned by Capstone Copper, a company based in Vancouver that also owns nearby Mantoverde mine.[4]
