Jake Bickelhaupt

Jake Bickelhaupt is an American chef and restaurateur who owns and operates Konro restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife Nadia Bickelhaupt.[1][2] He pled guilty to one charge of domestic abuse and was arrested in 2025 on the charge of domestic violence.

Biography

Since 2020, Bickelhaupt has been married to Nadia and they co-own and operate Konro restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida, which they opened in 2022.[1][3][4] Konro is a ten-seat tasting menu-only restaurant and offers wine pairings as well as a non-alcoholic pairing.[5][6]

Previously, Bickelhaupt operated Stone Flower and 42 Grams.[7] 42 Grams received two Michelin stars within its first year of operation and was the subject of a 2017 documentary of the same name.[8][9][10] It was closed in 2018 after Bickelhaupt pleaded guilty following domestic abuse charges filed by his former wife.[11] Another film, 86ed, based on his life was released in 2021 and received a Special Jury Award at LAFA as well as Best Picture at the FilmCon Awards.[12][13]

In 2025, Bickelhaupt was again arrested for domestic violence. He allegedly beat his victim for two hours and caused the victim to experience a seizure.[14]

Awards and recognition

In 2015, Bickelhaupt was recognized as the Food & Wine Best Chef.[15] He received two Michelin stars in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and was nominated for a James Beard Award in 2015, 2016, and 2017.[16][17]
