Plot

Gauri is a dramatic thriller that explores the enigmatic life of a pregnant woman perceived as mentally unstable. The narrative follows a love triangle involving a schoolteacher, Titus Bhowmik, his seventeen-year-old student Gauri, and Gauri’s mute sister Uma. The plot takes a darker turn when their father, folk artist Dinu Debnath, is found murdered. Suspicion falls on both Titus and Dinu’s close friend, Gafur Sheikh. The incident triggers communal tension between the local Hindu and Muslim communities. As the story unfolds, buried truths gradually emerge, confronting emotional, psychological, and political conflicts.
