Description
English: Outcome of the screening for Sickle Cell disease (SCD) in newborns in the regions of Metropolitan France in 2018.

The colour depends on the fraction of newborns tested positive in comparision to all newborns that were screened for SCD. The small pie charts depict the percentage of newborns screened for Sickle Cell disease out of all newborns screened for illnesses.

In Metropolitan France, newborns are screened for Sickle Cell disease when either parent originates from an at-risk region (see source, page 45).

La couleur dépend de la fraction de nouveau-nés testés positifs par rapport à tous les nouveau-nés qui ont été dépistés pour la drépanocytose. Les petits diagrammes circulaires illustrent le pourcentage de nouveau-nés dépistés pour la drépanocytose sur l'ensemble des nouveau-nés dépistés.

En France Métropolitaine, le dépistage de la drépanocytose est limité aux nouveaux-nés dont les parents sont originaires de régions à risque (voir source, page 45).
