Deutsch: Das Planungsamt der Bundeswehr ist eine dem Bundesministerium der Verteidigung nachgeordnete Bundesoberbehörde, welche militärisch und zivil besetzt ist. Es untergliedert sich in vier Abteilungen. Neben seinem Hauptsitz in Berlin verfügt es über eine Außenstelle in Ottobrunn und eine Verbindungsstelle in Suffolk (Virginia). Das Planungsamt ist für den nicht-ministeriellen Anteil des Planungsprozesses verantwortlich. In dieser Funktion führt es alle Planungsschritte in den dem Ministerium nachgeordneten Bereich zusammen.
