English: 'Maate (Unteroffiziere OR-5) of the Kriegsmarine wore until 1945 rank insignia as gold coloured ca. 9mm rayon Maat braids with one or two cross braids on the collar badges. As well as career insignia on the left cuff (upper arm), e.g. one gold coloured anchor, below one gold coloured angle (for Bootsmannsmaat), or two crossed golden coloured anchors, below one gold coloured angle (for Steuermannsmaat):
