Deutsch: Auf dem Gewölbeschlußstein von 1877 im Vorbau der Kirche fehlen sie überhaupt. Die heute gültige Blasonierung wurde am 30.12.1926 vom Gemeinderat anerkannt.
Object history
Deutsch: In Oblatensiegel an einem Schreiben des Gemeinderates von Egg, datiert vom 21.6.1806, zeigt in einer Kartusche zwei aus Wolken hervorbrechende, verschlungene Hände1. Die Treuhände, die mit diesem Siegelbild zum Gemeindewappen von Egg geworden sind, wollen die Brüderlichkeit, eines der Schlagwörter der Französischen Revolution, versinnbildlichen. Als eigentliches Wappen finden sich die beiden Hände aufder großen Glocke des imJahre 1854 gegossenen neuen Geläutes, sodann auf der Wappentafel von Krauer (um 1860) und auf einer Sängerfahne von 1872. Die Wolken wurden verschieden dargestellt: Auf den Siegelstempeln, der Glocke und der Fahne des Männerchors von 1924 wachsen sie aus dem Schildrand heraus. Krauer und nach ihm das Historisch-Biographische Lexikon4 zeigen die Wolken frei schwebend.
