Description
Українська: Затверджений 22 грудня 2001р. рiшенням №№108-22/01 XXII сесії районної ради XXIII скликання.

Щит розтятий і напівперетятий справа. На першій срібній частині - лазурова церква. На другій лазуровій - срібний здиблений кінь. На третій зеленій - три золотих букових горішка в стовп. Щит оповитий золотим вінком із букових гілок та колосся, оповитим синьо-жовтою стрічкою, та увінчаний золотою квіткою рододендрону східно-карпатського червоного (рути). Мотивом герба служить буковинська народна пісня: "Буковина ти зелена на три части розділена..." Срібло символізує непрочитані (невідкриті) сторінки багатої на події історії краю, лазуровий - водні ресурси, зелений - поля і лісові багатства Кіцманщини. Церква - Успенський Свято-Вознесенській храм, збудований в Лужанах 1453р., який є найстарішим на Буковині. Кінь - символ свободи і працелюбності. Букові горішки символізують ліси краю. Квітка - прототип всесвітньо відомої пісні Володимира Івасюка "Червона рута". Автор - В.Гнатюк.
