Summary

Description
English: Citycell (Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited) was the first mobile operator in Bangladesh and the only provider to use CDMA technology. Founded in 1989, it played a significant role in introducing mobile telephony to the country. Despite its early success, Citycell struggled to compete with GSM operators in later years due to limited coverage, outdated technology, and financial issues. As a result, it ceased operations in October 2016 after losing its license for failing to pay government dues.
