Summary

Description
English: This is an image from the opening scene of a short film of 1929 called Black and Tan and starring Duke Ellington and Fredi Washington. A 55-key studio piano, small enough for two men to easily carry, is featured in the shot and in the film. It is not clear whether this was a preferred size for Harlem apartment dwellers or whether it simply made for a tighter shot.
