Source Own work based on scholarly article written by Mohammad Zainal Abedin, a respected Bangladeshi researcher and journalist on November 28 2005 published in Media Monitors Network
This variation with sunburst flag was uploaded by some now banned twitter users that spread hindu nationalist extremism. This version is likely the actual flag used by extremists.
Another version without the sunburst is commonly used as CRW flag is the first to make the flag digital and is commonly sampled by others. That version is not likely the actual flag.
The colors are sampled from the BJP Flag as they both have hindu nationalistic ideology.
