Political career

[edit]

In April 2025, during the Bakit Ikaw: The DZRH Job Interview program, Oducado encouraged voters to base their choices on principles and values rather than popularity or wealth. He emphasized the importance of empowerment in achieving true development and stated that good leadership can bring transformative change to the country. He identified himself as a non-traditional politician with a long record of community service alongside the 1Tahanan Party-list.[2]

In July 2025, Representative Oducado met with officials of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) to discuss proposed legislation aimed at strengthening the maritime sector in the Philippines. Among the key proposals discussed was the Philippine Ship Registry initiative, which seeks to increase the number of Filipino-owned ships flying the Philippine flag in compliance with international maritime standards.[3]
