  • Comment: Some of the references here are unreliable sources that are not support for notability at all (BongMines, Apt613, Neighbourhood Noise) -- and all of the rest are short blurbs or Q&A interviews where he's talking about himself in the first person, which are acceptable for use but not enough to get a person over WP:GNG all by themselves if they're the best sources he's got.
We don't just need to see verification that his music exists, we need to see verification that he's achieved something that would pass WP:NMUSIC: charting hits, major music awards, a national concert tour, etc. Bearcat (talk) 14:27, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

Noeh-Lys Ndayishimiye (born April 1, 2003[1]), known professionally as NLN, is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter and producer from Ottawa, Ontario.[2][3][4]

Biography

[edit]

NLN was born on April 1, 2003, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, to a Rwanda mother.[2] He grew listening of gospel music when cleaning up the house in Sunday's. As well playing Brandy's 2008 fifth studio album Human.[2]

NLN started listening to hip hop music in 2016 through rappers like Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar.[2][4] He started songwriting at the age of 6 but started recording music at 14 when he saw his classmates making diss tracks back and forth during his time in school.[2][1] NLN has been continue to release singles throughout his career by getting the idea from American rapper Russ.[2] He stated, "I saw an interview he did around the time when I was trying to figure out how to get myself out there and he said all it took for him to blow up was releasing a song a week. I was never scared of the work. I just wanted to get on and I already had that hunger. So like, putting out a song every single week didn't faze me. I thought that I was going to do it until I broke."[2]

In July 2025, NLN announced the NLN Summer Concert Experience: Live in Ottawa at the Shenkman Arts Centre in August 23, 2025.[5]
