Manish Kejriwal (born 8 November 1968)[1] is an Indian business executive and private equity professional.[2] He is the founder and managing partner of Kedaara Capital, a private equity firm focused on investments in India.[3] Prior to founding Kedaara Capital, he led Temasek Holdings' India office and previously worked at McKinsey & Company as well as the World Bank.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Kejriwal earned a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.[4][5]
Career
[edit]Kejriwal began his professional career at the World Bank, working on development-related projects. He subsequently joined McKinsey & Company as a business analyst.[6] During his time at Harvard, he interned at Goldman Sachs.[7] At McKinsey & Company, he became a partner and was involved in establishing the firm's private equity practice in India.[5] In 2004, he joined Temasek Holdings, where he led the firm's operations in India and oversaw investments in sectors such as financial services.[8] In 2011, Kejriwal co-founded Kedaara Capital, which focuses on control and minority stakes in Indian companies.[9] As of 2025, the firm manages assets worth over $6 billion. The firm has raised multiple investment funds, including a fund reported to be approximately USD 1.74 billion fund as of 2024.[10]
Board memberships and philanthropy
[edit]Kejriwal has served on the boards of several companies, including Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Holdings Investment,[11] K Raheja Corp Investment Managers, Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel, Alembic Pharmaceuticals,[5] Fullerton Financial Holdings, and various portfolio companies associated with Kedaara Capital.[5]
He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and was named a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum.[5] He has also written on topics related to private equity in India and has participated in industry conferences as a speaker.[12][13]
Personal life
[edit]Kejriwal was married to Sunaina Bajaj, daughter of the industrialist Rahul Bajaj, until her demise in 2024. They have two children.[8][11][14]
