Ahnaf Zaman Anando (Bengali: আহনাফ জামান আনন্দ) is a Bangladeshi student politician and activist. He is currently serving as a central member of the Bangladesh Democratic Student Council. He previously held the position of coordinator in the Students Against Discrimination (Bengali: বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলন), a progressive student movement in Bangladesh.

Early life and education

Ahnaf Zaman Anando was born in January 2001 in Matuail, Jatrabari, Dhaka. He completed his schooling at Shamsul Haque Khan School and College, and later studied at BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola for his higher secondary education. He is currently pursuing a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at United International University.

Political and activist career

Ahnaf became involved in student activism from an early age. He participated individually in two of Bangladesh's largest student-led movements:

  • The Quota Reform Movement in 2018
  • The Road Safety Movement in 2018

In 2024, he served as the coordinator of the Students Against Discrimination movement, which addressed systemic inequalities, demanded equal rights for marginalized groups in educational institutions and played the key role to july uprising on Bangladesh.

He is currently a central member of the Bangladesh Democratic Student Council, where he continues to advocate for students' rights, equity, and democratic reforms in the education sector.

Complaints and debates

He is accused of killing two policemen on jatrabari and karwanbazar. There is also a corruption charge of 3 lakh bangladeshi taka against him.

 Personal life

Ahnaf speaks Bengali, Hindi, Turkish, and English. His work is rooted in social justice, inclusivity, and grassroots activism. He is unmarried.
