Wikipedia cannot accept material copied from elsewhere, unless it explicitly and verifiably has been released to the world under a suitably free and compatible copyright license or into the public domain and is written in an acceptable tone—this includes material that you own the copyright to. You should attribute the content of a draft to outside sources, using citations, but copying and pasting or closely paraphrasing sources is not acceptable. The entire draft should be written using your own words and structure. Declined by Tenshi Hinanawi 15 days ago.

Long Way Home is a 2025 10-episode Apple Original series documenting the 63-day journey from the United Kingdom across Scandinavia and Eastern and Central Europe made by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman on refurbished vintage motorcycles. The series aired on Fridays on Apple TV+ beginning 09 May 2025. This is the fourth journey the two have made for television, beginning with Long Way Round (2004) which was followed by Long Way Down (2007) and Long Way Up (2020).
[1][2][3][4]
They started at Ewan McGregor's home in Perthshire, Scotland and returned to Charley Boorman's home in Suffolk, England.[4] From the United Kingdom, they rode across Europe for a cumulative distance of about 10,000 miles (16,100 km).[2][4]
Their route included a trip across the English Channel to Denmark and then across the North Sea to Scandinavia. They rode up to the Arctic Circle and then down to the Baltics and back through continental Europe before once again crossing the English Channel.[1][4][5]
Apple describes their motorcycles as "cranky old bikes."[6] McGregor rode a 1974 Moto Guzzi Eldorado 850 police bike; Boorman rode a BMW R75/5 with a kickstarter.[4][7] As with the Long Way Up, the support team drove all-electric Rivians.[2][8][9]
In Their Words
[edit]In an interview with IGN Live, Boorman and McGregor talked about the Long Way series.[10]
Boorman told the interviewer that filming "is always a lot more work than you think when you are doing these jobs. I remember a long time ago, 20 years ago, when we were doing all sorts of training for Long Way Round and we didn't really have a clue what we were doing... and we still are not really that sure about what we do! But this ex-SAS [Special Air Service] guy was saying to us, 'Charley, if you can get to the start line – and it's so hard to get to that start line – then the adventure part is easy.' That's the easy part because you've done all the hard work at the beginning to set things up, to get everything going. And that's the truth for anybody who does any journey."
McGregor reminisced about the original trip in 2004: "When we were [in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia], we had a UNICEF visit with kids who live in the streets and in the winter they live underground near to the heating pipes because it's so cold there. And the next day we went to this identification center where these kids, when the police find them, they take them to this place. And we met a little girl there who is called Jamyan, who became my daughter. I adopted her with my ex-wife, Eve."
