Comment: The list of honorees is a straight lift from Fords.org but see WP:CLIST. That said honorifics like "the honorable" should be dropped. Nthep (talk) 14:46, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

The Lincoln Medal is an award given by Ford’s Theatre Society to honor individuals who, through their body of work, accomplishments or personal attributes, exemplify the lasting legacy and character embodied by President Abraham Lincoln.[1]
The Medal is awarded during the Ford's Theatre Gala, a bipartisan event hosted annually by the theatre since 1970.[2] The event, which also features various performances by current musical artists, is attended by politicians, philanthropists, and other public figures and supporters of the theatre. The 2009 performances included appearances by Katie Couric, Kelsey Grammer, James Earl Jones, Ben Vereen, Jeffrey Wright, the President's Own Marine Band, Patrick Lundy, Audra McDonald, Jessye Norman,[3] Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bernadette Peters, Josh Groban, Emmy Russell, and Susan Egan.[4] Every U.S. president since Jimmy Carter has attended a Ford’s Theatre Gala,[5] Barack Obama and Donald Trump have both delivered remarks at the ceremony, in 2010 and 2019, respectively.[6][7]
