Jan Erik Vikeså (born 18 August 1957) is a Norwegian business executive with extensive experience in electricity, renewable energy, oil and gas, as well as international trade. He is the CEO and co-owner of Polyconcreto AS, a Norwegian company that develops and supplies factories for the production of building components based on EPS concrete, adapted for regions with challenging climatic and infrastructural conditions.
In 2025, one of the company’s factories is scheduled to become operational in Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), as part of a project aimed at supporting local employment, training, and long-term community development.
In 2015, Vikeså founded Saga Energy AS, one of the first companies in Rogaland to specialize in the import and installation of solar power systems. In 2017, he signed an agreement with Iranian authorities for the construction of solar parks valued at approximately NOK 20 billion. The project was later halted due to geopolitical developments and international sanctions, but it received significant international attention and helped position Vikeså as a prominent figure in the solar energy sector.
He joined the Norwegian Home Guard youth program before completing his compulsory military service as an infantryman in the Norwegian Army. In 1980, he served as a United Nations peacekeeper in Lebanon (UNIFIL). For his military service, he was awarded the Norwegian Participation Medal, the United Nations Peacekeeping Medal, the UN Nobel Peace Prize Medal, the Norwegian Medal for International Operations, the Gold Marksmanship Medal, and the Norwegian Army’s Marksmanship Statuette for field shooting. He continued his military involvement in the Norwegian Home Guard for over 30 years, including service as a platoon leader with the rank of Second Lieutenant.
Vikeså is known for his interdisciplinary approach and his role in developing solutions that combine environmental responsibility with local value creation. He has been an advocate for durable, functional, and repairable products, aiming to reduce resource consumption and environmental impact. He believes that knowledge sharing and fair distribution of resources are key to promoting sustainable development.
