Sachchidanand Tewari (Tiwari) (1953–2000) was an Indian electrical engineer and academic, known for his contributions to power systems, HVDC transmission, and power distribution automation. He served as a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
Education
[edit]Tewari received his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, in 1975. He then pursued postgraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, earning a Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree in 1978 and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 1983, both in Electrical Engineering.
Academic Career
[edit]Tewari began his academic career as a Lecturer at Banaras Hindu University in April 1983. Later that year, in December 1983, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur, where he served until his death in 2000.
