Dormeo is a European brand of sleep-related products including mattresses, mattress toppers, pillows, and bedding. It was established in 2002 and operates in more than 40 countries across Europe, North America, and Asia.[1][2]
History
[edit]Dormeo was founded in 2002, initially offering foam mattresses manufactured in Italy. The brand first focused on direct-to-consumer sales through TV and online channels, and later expanded to retail stores, with its first location opening in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2004.
In 2007, Dormeo began integrating memory foam into its products, and in 2010, it entered the UK market.
In 2011, Dormeo introduced Octaspring® technology[3], a patented three-dimensional foam spring[4]. The technology was subsequently employed in the aerospace industry, where Octaspring® components were featured in aircraft seating. [5][6]
In 2023, Dormeo partnered with the Healthcare Group and MLILY to co-develop new products, and began converting its retail locations into Dormeo Home Stores, which integrate sleep consultation technology.
In 2025, Dormeo introduced the AI Sleep Simulator, a system implemented in its retail stores that uses body scanning and artificial intelligence to analyze customers' physical characteristics and recommend personalized mattress configurations.[7][8][9]
