Downshot is a 2023 virtual reality sandbox video game developed by CMVR Game Studios LLC. It released in early access on May 23rd, 2023, to the Meta Horizon Store.[1] As of March 2nd, 2025, the game has received over 2,500,000 downloads.[1]
Gameplay
[edit]The player initially spawns in a small room in which they're prompted to calibrate their height. After doing so, the player is then free to explore the game. By using the menu, they can teleport to a map from the game or choose to download and teleport to a user generated mod map. The player is then free to use the spawn gun to spawn in various entities, props, weapons, tools, vehicles, and other items. After months of requests, multiplayer was added to Downshot in September of 2023.[1]
