Bad End Theater (stylized as BAD END THEATER) is a multiple ending visual novel developed and published by NomnomNami. It was released for Windows on October 26, 2021, via Steam. It was released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch on July 10, 2025.[2][3]
Gameplay
[edit]The game has over 40 endings, which can be unlocked through the choices of the player. There are four main characters, and the story is considered violent.[4] The four characters are the hero, the maiden, the underling, and the overlord. The character can select one character and assign personality traits to the other three. Personality traits can be assigned to other characters to act as choices that the player made while playing as that character.[5]
Reception
[edit]XboxEra rated the game 8/10, describing it as "perfect for the sadist in you and even the hopeful."[6] The game was highlighted as a spotlighted indie game by Xbox for July 2025.[7]
