Arjun Ambati (born Nagarjuna Reddy Ambati; 16 August 1986) is an Indian actor, model, and television presenter who works predominantly in Telugu cinema and television. He is known for his lead role as a transgender character in Arddhanaari (2016)[1] and for his performances in serials such as Devatha – Anubandhala Alayam[2] and Agnisakshi[3]. He appeared as a contestant in Bigg Boss Telugu 7[4] and has hosted shows including Sri Devi Drama Company[5] and the Pro Kabaddi League on Star Sports[6].
Early life and education
[edit]Arjun Ambati was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh[7]. He completed his schooling in his hometown and pursued intermediate and postgraduate studies in Visakhapatnam[8]. He holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree and worked as an IT professional for two years before entering the entertainment industry[9].
Career

[edit]Arjun Ambati began his acting career with the unreleased film Chandrullo Unde Kundelu[10]. He made his debut in Geethopadesam (2015)[11] and gained recognition for his antagonist role in Soukhyam (2015)[12]. His breakthrough was the lead transgender role in Arddhanaari (2016)[1]. The film was reported to have won three Nandi Awards, but the awards were not officially issued[13].

He also secured a major role in Ram Charan's movie *RC16*[15] and is known for his stylish public appearances[11]. Recently, he and actress Suhasini launched the 39th store of Dumont Coffee[5].
