Alma Leiva is an Honduran-born educator and interdisciplinary artist that works within photography, installation, drawing and video. Her work has been exhibited in the United States, Mexico, Europe and Latin America. Her work has been published in the book The Art of Protest: Political Art and Activism and visual Disobedience, Gelstaten and Art and Decoloniality in Central America, Kency Cornejo, Duke University Press.
Education
In 2007 she received a BFA in photography and electronic media from New World School of the Arts, Miami, FL and in 2011 she received an MFA in photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University.
