3BHK is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language coming of age family drama film written and directed by Sri Ganesh, based on the short story by Aravindh Sachidanandam.[1] The film stars an ensemble cast consisting of Siddharth, R. Sarathkumar, Devayani, Yogi Babu, Meetha Raghunath and others in important roles. The film is produced by Arun Viswa under Shanthi Talkies banner.

3BHK is scheduled to release in theatres on 4 July 2025.

On 17 May 2024, actor Siddharth who was last seen in Chithha (2023) announced his next project with 8 Thottakkal (2017) and Kuruthi Aattam (2022) fame Sri Ganesh,[2] in their maiden collaboration.[3] The film was tentatively titled Siddharth40, as it marks the 40th film of the lead actor[4] and marks the second production venture of Arun Viswa's Shanthi Talkies after Maaveeran (2023).[5][6] Apart from Siddharth, the film features R. Sarathkumar and Devayani in important roles,[7] who are reuniting after two decades[8] alongside Good Night (2023) fame Meetha Raghunath[9] and Kannada actress Chaithra J. Achar in her Tamil debut.[10]

The title of the film 3BHK was revealed on 5 February 2025, through a 1 minute 30 seconds long title-reveal teaser[11] along with the glimpse of the characters played by the lead actors.[12] The technical team consists of music composer Amrit Ramnath,[13] cinematographers Dinesh Krishnan B and Jithin Stanislaus, editor Ganesh Siva and art director Vinoth Rajkumar N.[14] The move is based on critically acclaimed tamil short story 3BHK veedu written by Aravindh Sachidanandam.[citation needed]

Filming

Principal photography began in Chennai after a formal pooja ceremony on 15 July 2024.[15] Filming got wrapped on 5 March 2025.[16]

The soundtrack and background is scored by Varshangalkku Shesham (2024) fame Amrit Ramnath in his Tamil debut.[17] The first single titled "Kanavellam" released on 21 May 2025.[18] The second single "Idi Mazhai" was released on 21 June 2025.[19] The pre-release trailer cum audio launch event was conducted in Chennai on 26 June 2025, following which the audio jukebox was released.[20]
