Brian Dale Beattie is a pastor and the CEO of The City Group. He is the co-owner of Kingdomize Global[1] and the founder of Freedom House.[2] Brian started pastoring when he was around 20 years old.
Brian leased a bar located in downtown Brantford for 1 year and hosted church services in it. Brian later got a grant of $750,000 and made the building into affordable housing, which is now named Freedom Gate Apartments.
Community
[edit]Brian hosted barbecues in downtown Brantford which he called "Flippin Fridays". The barbecues took place between 10:00 pm to 3:00 am. Brian, his friends and the city of Brantford started hosting a winter carnival called Frosty Fest in Harmony Square. On the first year of Frosty Fest, 8,000 people showed up. By year 5, 15,000 people were going to Frosty Fest.[3][4] Brian has also worked as the chair of Brantford’s Canada Day committee.[5]
Missions
[edit]In 1996 or 1997, Brian went on a missions trip to Slovakia to do leadership training.
Freedom House
[edit]Brian and his wife Sharlyss founded Freedom House in 2003. Freedom House is a non-denominational church located in Brantford.[6]
