Suspended officials

[edit]

Five of the ICC's top officials were suspended for the competition as a result of the final of the 2007 Cricket World Cup, where they incorrectly interpreted the playing conditions.[2] The suspended officials were umpires Steve Bucknor, Aleem Dar, Rudi Koertzen and Billy Bowden, along with referee Jeff Crowe, all of whom were members of the ICC's elite panels.[3]
