Kàngrì

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from 抗日)

Kàngrì (Chinese: 抗日; Wade–Giles: kʻang4jih4; lit. 'resist Japan'; Korean: 항일; RR: hangil)[1] is a Chinese word, which means "resisting Japanese imperialism". Kàngrì sometimes translates as "anti-Japan", but Kàngrì means more against Empire of Japan than the Japanese people, so it should be distinguished from fǎnrì (Chinese: 反日; Wade–Giles: fan3jih4; lit. 'anti-Japan'; Korean: 반일; RR: banil),[1] which means the general anti-Japanese sentiment.
